Calle Chain Art Centre aims to deepening the understanding and appreciation of Han culture by promoting four arts, which are qin (the guqin, a stringed instrument), qi (the strategy game of Go), shu (Chinese calligraphy), and hua (Chinese painting). We fulfil our missions by offering courses, teaching classes, lectures, exhibitions, competitions every year. The owner of Calle Chain Art Centre, Mr Chai Wee Kian, also the founder and president of the Calle Chain Calligraphy Workshop is well-educated with four arts. During his childhood, his main Chinese calligraphy tutor was the late famous calligrapher and education fighter, Datuk Sim Mow Yu. And also with a number of well known Chinese painter like Mr Lin Shu Fu, famous calligrapher, Mr Xie Ru Jing, from them, he deepened and gained his skills on Han arts. In Mr Chai’s opinion, he thinks that four arts are basic courses that should be taken by us as Chinese decedents. The four arts help in self cultivation and there are where the essence of Han culture is.

Selling in store and online for four treasures of the study (brush, ink, paper and ink stone) are available in Calle Chain Art Centre.

Calle Chain Art Centre is the only association with complete Chinese culture and arts in Malaysia. We are offering complete courses for beginners and advance level, which includes children, adolescents, adults and also senior citizens.
